Majors Softball
Majors softball is a competitive league for players who have mastered the core skills and abilities of Little League softball. The field uses a 60-foot diamond and a 40-foot pitching distance.
Most players at the Majors level are 10-12 years of age, although there may be occasions where a 9-year-old would be considered based on skills and abilities. All girls are required to wear a protective face guard when in the field, and batting helmets must have a face mask attached.
An evaluation will be held in March to ensure players’ readiness and assess their skill. Players who were on a SPLL Majors team last season are not required to attend, however, ALL players are encouraged to participate.
