Food drive for South Portland Food Cupboard

We are proud to announce that South Portland Little League is partnering with the South Portland Food Cupboard to host a food drive and support a continual need in our community.

In South Portland, around 13.7% of children are estimated to live in food-insecure households, highlighting the risks to their health and development.

Last year alone, the South Portland Food Cupboard served 6,996 families and 21,981 individuals, distributing over 490 tons of food valued at an incredible $1,881,662.

How can we help?
SPLL will be hosting a food drive starting on opening day 5/3 and ending at our movie night in the park on 5/9. Please consider bringing non perishable items to donate at opening day (look for the table at the volunteer tent) at any game at Wilkinson or Pine St that the concession stand is open or at movie night at Pine on 5/9. We will conclude our drive at movie night and turn over the donated food to the South Portland Food Cupboard then! Come help us support our community and one of its largest needs.

Canned Pasta Sauce (24 oz)
1 lb bag – White rice
